you need to see what they are like some time but other times some people just guess what they are like from looks. Making judgements can be on literature and in realaty, but you should not make judgements in reality because it is just plain mean because if for example a girl is wearing black, it doesn't mean that she is mean, maybe she just likes the color black. you acually have to read the literature to acually make a judgement.

The differences is that when you make a judgement on a sterotype you are guessing that a person acts this way because of the way they dress or what they look like. Making a judgement in literature is when you guess what is going to happen next.

The process for making a judgement in literiture is to read over the context carefully before you judge somebody in the book. An example of a positive judgement that we have made in class is that Chiune Sugihara is a kind man. A difference between a judgement and a sterotype is that a judgement is something that you make after you have learned about something while a sterotype is something that you infer about someone.

The proces of making a judgement for me is looking at how the person looks first. Then I look at how he or she is acting. Then I look at the facial expression. Usually if they're smiling they are happy. Here is an example of what I judge. If I see a girl with a whole bunch of shopping bags and is wearing expensive clothes, I think that she's really rich or in alot of debt. Then I look at how she's acting. If she's acting like she's something really important then I think she's trying to show off. Then I look at her face and if she's smiling, she might be a happy person.

The process for for making a judment is to read the literature and then jugde it carfully. An example is when someone geting 100% on all their quizes you can judge that they and smart. A judgement based on literature can usally be correct were as a judment based on a stereotype is usally wrong or gossip.

I think the process of making a judgement in literature, is when you can gather imformation about a character and anaylize them. I think the difference between making a judgement about a stereotype is when you don't really know the person. I also think that you judge them on their appearance and their look, more than their personality.

The process for making a judgement is how you would assume something. An example, is the story, The Purple Belt. In that story a karate instructor makes a judgement on a boy that forgot his belt, that he was irresponible. But she changed the way she felt when the boy told her that his baby sister died and he left it with her. A judgement to me is some kind of guess or assumption. You can make a judgement about someone and it wont always be true. #24

The process for making a judgement about someone is to never judge someone of what they look like. You should at least get to know them before you make something up that you don't know about them. Like if some boy is wearing all black you might think that he's mean, but he could be the nicest person in the world.

the difference is like say someone is waring glasses and someone calls them 4 eyes. there judging them on the outside not the inside. there was a saying its called you dont judge a book by its cover. And some people do because they think there cool.

To make a judgement in literature you just have take the facts that you know and infer. Say you are reading for example if a book says there was a big open feild filled with flowers and ponies you would probably make the judgement at it is a happy story. The difference between a literature judgement and a stereoype is that a stereotype is made by no facts just predictions about something you don't know about and a literature judgement is made by facts.

The process for making a judgement is to reread the context that you are reading. Unless it is a chapter book, just read it carefully. And if it is something other than context look at it carefully. An example is that we judged Mr Sugihara, he is a very kind man.the difference is that judgments based on sterotype are negative. he is an example, someone that has tatoos all over might be the meanest person in the world but he is the nicest person in the world.

The difference between making a judgement in literature and just seeing a person suddenly is that in literature you get to read about the person before you make the judgement and just by seeing a person when you make your judgement you don't know the person at all.All you are doing is guessing what the person is like.Like Mr.Sugihara when we made a judgement about him we had already read what he was like and it turned out that he is a very generous, kind and thoughtful. When you see a girl wearing Juicy all over her your judement is that she is rich and nobody likes her when she can be nice and poor, but nobody knows.

The process of them making a jugments starts whith what you think about the person cloths or how the act to other pepole and if they are smart or not. The jugement of a storiotype that the assian girles are not the great at driving.

To make judgments in literature you have to read not gust a small portion because if you read a small part you don't get all the facts. A stereotype is something that is not false.

The differnce of a sterotypes is that when you make fun of what they dress and what they do.
Making judgements is like literature.

the process of judging someone because say you see a blonde girl walking done the street wearing all types off juicy clothes so you might think that she might be really dumb and rich but she might be a very smart girl who's family is very wealthy so you can't judge people on the way some people can also be.like they say you can't judge a book by its cover.

The process of making a judgement in literature is that when you are reading you and there is a person and you judge them. Like in the Series of Unfortunate Events I made the judgement that Count Olaf is a very cruel person because he is trying to get they orphans enormous amount of money that their parents left them and he is trying to kill them. A stereotype is a judgement that you make that can be connected to rascism and sexsism. Like how people say that blond girls are stupid but their really not, and how girls aren't as good of drivers as boys.

Mr. Africano,

Using the literature a reader can form a jugement or opinion based on what happens in the story.

When we make judgements based on stereotypes we are not being fair to the person being judged.

The process for making a judgment in literature is to read the text very carefully before you judge something. an example of a positive judgement that we made in our class is that sugihara is a genourous man. The difference between a judgement and a stereotype is that a judgement is something that you make like an opinion. And a stereotype is something that you infer about someone.

1.) First, I would analize the parts in the book that tells about the charectar. Then I would think it over and see what they whare, what they enjoy doing, and things like that. Then I would simply make make a judjment on the person based on what I found out.
2.) A positive judment that we made in class was that Mr. Sugihara is a kind man that does things for people in need.
3.) A judjment based on literature is a jujdment based on someone that somebody wrote about. A judjment based on a stereotyp is usualy a offencive judgment that you make when you see someone or something that you don't know about.
Example: Dumb Blonds, Aisas can't drive vary well , boys are better than girls.

The differences in literature and judgement is that a judgement is you just say something that is not true. For exaple like blondes are not bum. also like guys are better at everything. A literture is what you geting imformation for some books or the internet. For a exple of liteature giraffes have tall necks. #17

The process for making a judgement in literature that if you are reading a story and there is an eleven year old girl who can swim a 100 butterfly in sixty five seconds you can make an assumtion that she practices a lot. A stereotype can be connected to rascism and sexsism. Say you see a boy about twenty five and he has sleeves of tatoos is wearing his pants down low so you can see his boxers and you think to yourself that he is headed down the wrong road. You can never tell a book by it's cover. He could be a graduate from Harvard with a degree in phsicology. Don't let apperence fool you.

The process on making a judgement..

Step 1. Look at the pages and the pictures if there aere.
Step 2. Read the story.
Step 3. Make your judgement.
Ex: If the weather is like really hot all the time then your judgement would be that the setting is in Mexico or something and not in like New york during winter. A judgement that we made in class was The Purple Belt. At first we thought the lady teacher was really mean but then we found out she was really nice.
The difference between a judgement based on literature and making a stereotype judgement is very different. An example for stereotpe is saying really mean stuff about other people. Literature wise is making a judgement about a story.

The process of making a steriotype and making a judgement based upon literature are totally different things. If you make a steriotype about a person, like a nerd or dork, its based on how they talk, look,or act, but a judgement based upon literature is a better way of judging somone because it tells about their life and why they act the way they do.

The process of making a judgement for me is their hair. Then,I notice how they're acting. If they're acting weird with blonde hair, then that doesn't mean blondes are dumb, because there are lots of blondes that I know that are smart. If they are blonde and acting normal(or smart),then that also proves that blondes aren't dumb.Judging people about how they are or how they look is not a good thing,at all.

The process for making a literary judgment is similar to deciphering a message or a code. Writers often have different ways that bring the reader into the story. In Rick Riordan’s, The Lightening Thief, Percy Jackson is a very lonely and misunderstood boy living in New York City with his mother and her husband. He is about to begin a wonderful adventure. The story is told in the first person narrative. The author uses this type of writing because it appeals to other kids. It is almost as if Percy Jackson were talking directly to the reader. The style of writing prompts kids to ask questions such as “What would happen if…?” Or, “Who else could be compared to a Half-Blood?” At the end of the wonderful adventure, the reader almost feels as if they actually experienced it and can easily make literary judgments based on their reading.

In contrast, a judgment made on a stereotype isn’t well formed. A stereotype is a label that is used to identify something that people don’t understand. For example, here are two stereotypes: 1) boys are better in math; 2) girls are better at reading. These are two typical stereotypes that people have heard, but haven’t looked for any real facts to prove it. It may be because they don’t know where to find the information and that is just what everyone says. In reality, it may not be an easy answer to find and the findings may change year after year.

A judgment based on stereotypes is tainted with bias based on past experiences and perceptions. Judgments based on literature are purer. That's why people tend to believe everything they see in print...but, you can't judge a book by its cover!

No. 8 had a good point. As they say, "Don't judge a book by it's cover".
