Flight is freedom in its purest form,
To dance with the clouds that follow a storm.
To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within.
To leave the earth with its troubles and fly,
and know the warmth of a clear spring sky.
Then back to earth at the end of the day,
Released from the tensions which melted away.
Should my end come while I am in flight,
On the brightest day or the darkest night,
Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again
For each of us is created to die -
And within me I know I was born to fly.

A line that connects to the story was line one, "Flight is freedom in its purest form," this connects because Amelia found a lot of happiness while she was flying. I believe that lines eleven and twelve, the last lines in the poem, connect to Amelia because she knew that everyone will die eventually and that the thing that she wanted to do with her life was fly.
1. "To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within."
2. "Should my end come while I am in flight,
On the brightest day or the darkest night."
3. "For each of us is created to die -
And within me I know I was born to fly."
Here are some of the examples that connect to Amelia Earhart. These relate to flying. In the book it says she loved to fly. For one example the part of the poem that said "To roll and glide, to wheel and spin." Those are airplane tricks. Also the very last line "For each of us is created to die -
And within me I know I was born to fly."
That one shows that whoever wrote this poem said that their desteny was to fly.
Amilia Earheart,"Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain, Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again", means no matter how much you try to make me stop I'll do it again. I think "To roll and glide, to wheel and spin, To feel the joy that swells within." conects to her because she loves to fly.

For each of us is created to die-
And within me I know I was born to fly.
I think that part of the poem connects to the story and Amelia the most. Amelia, from what we know, was born to fly, like it says in the poem.
Lines 11 and 12, which were my favorites really gets to the bottom line of Amelia's personality. She was truly born to fly.
3 descriptive verbs are roll, glide, and spin. Those are some verbs that Amelia probably did in her own plane.
1. I think that the last line connects to Amelia the most. "And within me I know I was born to fly."
2. Released from the tensions,To feel the joy that swells within, Flight is freedom in its purest form.
3. I think that amelia had a when-you-fall-down-get-back-up personality. She wouldn't let the rules, and what everyone else was doing hold her down.
"For each of us is created to die-
And within me I know I was born to fly." That line connects with Amelia Earhart because I think that she was a women born to fly no matter if she is spying or just being an inspiration. Three adjectives I really liked are purest, clear, and brightest day and darkest night. I think that lines 11 and 12 connect with Amelia personality becuase she was born to fly and if she crashes or is spying she will shrug off the pain and do it again.#24
One of the lines in the poem is, "Should my end come while I am in flight, on the brightest day or the darkest night." I think it relates to Amelia Earhart's story because some people think that she crashed in the ocean and died. I think lines 11 and 12 connect to Amelia because even when she was a little girl she knew she wanted to be a pilot, and she was the first woman to fly around the world.
'To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within.'
that is what Amelia Eearheart did in her plane.
'Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again'
when it says 'spare me' that is what she said on the radio when she said that Fred Noonan was getting beaten by the Japanese.
'For each of us is created to die -
And within me I know I was born to fly' that is why Amelia loved to fly.
lines two and seven are the ones that hit me the most and connect to the story because if you put your feet in the moms shoes then you would know how it felt. I mean imagine if you had a kid amd then it grew up to be one of the greatest fliers that ever lived wouldnt you want to think that she was still alive I know that I would. I mean just read them.
Should my end come while I am in flight,
On the brightest day or the darkest night,
Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again
For each of us is created to die -
And within me I know I was born to fly. I think that line 5,6, and 7 connect to the story because in the story Amelia Earhart said that she wqas not scared to die, if it ment women would have more respect. Line 11 and 12 connect to the story because Ameila Earhart, a famed pilot, wasn't afraid to die because she got to do what she loved while dueing her duty to her country.

In the last line of the poem it says, "And within me I know I was born to fly." It can connect to Amelia Earhart, also known as the first lady of flight, because it seems like she was born to fly. She was the first woman to travel across the Atlantic by air and the first woman to be a pilot flying across the Atlantic. Also, on lines 11, 12, and 13 it says that to shrug off the pain, I would do it again, and each of us were made to die, the official story of Amelia is that she plummeted to the sea and died. Six verbs that I would like to pick from the poem are, dance, glide, spin, leave, shrug, and melted.
An example that connects to Amelia Earhart are, "Should my end come while I am in flight,
On the brightest day or the darkest night,
Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,'
I think that this connects to Amelia Earhart because for all we know she could've died from crashing or she could've died from being executed. Three descriptive verbs are, roll, because you are rolling, glide, because you are gliding through the air, and pity, because you are feeling bad for someone. I think that lines 11 and 12 connect to Amelia Earhart, a female pilot, is that she died, how we do not know, and she was also the first female pilot.
"For each of us is created to die -
And within me I know I was born to fly."
I like this poem because it connets with Amelia Earhart beacause she wanted to fly for her whole life. Another reason is she die from flying. I think it is the best way to die from what you love. The three verbs I liked in the poem were dance, fly, and melted.
"Fight is freedom in its purest form,to dance with the clouds that follow a storm."
I picked this poem because in the story it said she loved the night sky and it reminded me own how I would be own a plane looking out the window.
2:Dance, Follow, Glide
3:I think it connects with Amelia Earheart, she was daring to try something new, no girl has ever done before.
"Flight is freedom in its purest form." This connects to Amelia Earhart because she felt free flying through the clouds. "For each of us is created to die" means that we will all die eventually. "And within me I know I was born to fly." this connects to Amelia Earhart because she loved to fly and that statement says that I am a flyer. three descriptive word are swell, follow and, tensions.
I think that 11 nad 12 are saying that she is like in pain and and scared to die. that she dose want to fly in the plan and it is when they are getting hurt by the japnes solders the lines that i like were 13 and 14 because it is telling us that she is a pilot and it tell us that she is scared and affiad to spy also she is saying that she is born to fly and also to is rich and they are working for the goverment.
1. I think that the second line connects to Amelia the most because her last flight was overcast. Some peoples theorys are thought she got to far off course and she got lost. That isn't my theory though.
2. Some descriptive verbs that i like are brightest, darkest, and released. I like these adjetives becuase they tell me about a lot about flying.
3. On lines 11 and 12 Amelia, The first female flyer, seems like she has a very positive and brave personality . This connects to her because she wasn't afraid to fly 18 hours in overcast skies with very little fuel.
The line that connects to the one line was " Spare me you pity and shrug off the pain, Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again". Amelia Earhart said when ever you try you make her stop i'll do it again.
I think that the first stanza relates the most. It talks about how flying is freedom and dancing with the clouds that fallow a storm. Her story is about how she is flying however she wants, where ever she wants. At the end of her life she is flying in a very foggy area and is sapossably lost at sea and can't be found.
Three verbs that I enjoy are joy, roll, fly.
The last two to stasnzza's relate to her personality because, she didn't care about what other people said about her flying, she just can't wait to go out again.
The line that connects to Amelia the most is the fourth line, "Then back to the earth at the end of the day, Released from the tensions which melted away. I think that because all the tension that she had in flight all melted away when she landed. Three verbs are glide, spin, and melted. On limes 11 and 12 Amelia has a brave atitude and she is acting like she the first person of flight.
1. i chose the line
"To roll and glide, to wheel and spin, to feel the joy that swells within" because it relates to Amelia Earhart flying.
A line from the story that best connects to the story of Amelia Earhart is:
"For each one of us is created to die-
And within me I know I was born to fly." I think that the last lines means she did things even though people frowned upon it and opposed and said she couldn't fly because she was a women and that women had to do all the housekeeping skills and not accomplish their dreams. The last line tells that everyone was is mortal and will acheive the same end, but that she was born into the world destined to fly and accomplish things that before were considered impossible. Verbs I enjoyed in the context were flight, released and secure because those were the things Amelia felt when she was in the air.
I thought that the poem sounded beautiful and very dicriptive. For the eleventh line, quote,"Spare me my pity and shrug off the pain" It connects to her life beause whatever way she crashed before that happened she knew they were running out of gas and prayed to god that whatever happened in the future that she wouldn't die.For the last group of lines, quote,"For each of us is born to die and within me I know I was born to fly."That connects to her life because her flying career was her life, taking risks was her life and proving that even girls can do jobs like this as long as they try their hardest and it's true all of us eventually die and to Amelia Earhart she was born to fly.
Where it says "Should my end come while I am in flight,
On the brightest day or the darkest night",that line connects to where Amelia Earhart(and Fred Noonan)were lost at sea and then captured by the Japanese(just a theory). It describes the story because it says should my end come in flight. She was trying to fly over the equator but it backfired really bad because they ran out of gas.The lines 11 and 12 relate to the theory I was talking about earlier in my comment where they were captured by the Japanese and in one of the lines in the book it said,They were beating Fred Noonan and Amelia said,"Please don't hurt me,spare me,please."
We really don't know what happened to Amelia Earhart, the first lady to fly.
P.S Mr Africano,you spelled apositive(appositive) wrong
To leave the earth with its troubles and fly,
and know the warmth of a clear spring sky.
amelia flew in planes many times. Just like in the poem "To leave the earth with its troubles and fly"
andrew
And within me I know I was born to fly.
This line is connected, to Amelia’s life because she loves to fly. And like in the trailer for the movie she is in a tree and she was like I want to be free. And so like she I am guessing that she really did feel free when she was flying around with Fred and the feeling to be free to look out onto the sky and just see the clouds as you say bye to them while your on you way back to Oakland now.
3 verbs are: Released from the tensions which melted away. To dance with the clouds that follows a storm. To leave the earth with its troubles and fly, Are three descriptive verbs. Lines 11 and 12 are connected to Amelia’s personality, because she did die maybe and she really was born to fly because it says so.
