I predict that the Captain will be really upset because, he probably doesnt want a girl on his ship. Also, when Charlotte Doyle climbed all the way down Captain Jaggery had his hands on his hips which probably meant he wasnt happy.

I predict that the captain is disapointed in her for trying something so reckless and dangerous. Evidance from the story is that in the picture on the last page he has his hands on his hips which is something that people tend to do when they are angry or upset.

I think that the Captain will be furious that the crew, mainly the first mate, let a girl on the ship. I also think that later on in the story she does something amazing that gains the Captains respect. Here is a quote from the story that shows the crew is fine with it: "If you go all the way to the Royal Yard and back in one piece, we will treat you the same as any other man on this ship. We will give you nothing more, but nothing less ether."

I think he'll say "Girls aren't aloud to be sailors" I think he'll say this because he didn't look happy in the picture.

I presdict that he will be mad that she made it but will still except her as a crew member. Evidence from the story is that the captain walked to the deck with his hads on his hips. That is a sign of angry feelings.

I predict that Captain will be mad at the crew and he probably doesn't want a girl on the ship. Also, he was made when she was done climbing.

I perdict that the captain will get mad at his crew, because she is still a passenger and that could be bad for business, when it looks like the crew forced Charlotte to climb to the royal yard.

I think the captin will be mad at the crew for liability reasons. He doesn't seem that nice too."He comes out with his hands on his hips."
2 Prediction
I think the captin will say something like," Are you crazy! You were haveing a girl climb the robes!Who let her do that, who every did is in deep trouble!22

I think he will punish them because they made a bet behind his back and in the picture he did look so happy. The caption probably only wanted men on the ship not girls.

I think that he will not let Charlotte stay on board. This is because at that time people were very prejudice about how men were better than women at hard labor. Which I have to admit that women can be better then men at labor. Some evidence that you could connect to my first thought is that in the last picture the captain doesn’t look very happy with his hands on his hips. Or, what might happen is that the captain will be very impressed by her determination and strength and let her stay on board.

I think that the captain will be mad that Charlotte climbed to the royal yard. When the 1st mate and Charlotte are talking the 1st mate says,"All right then. The captain is still in his cabin and not likely to come out till five bells. You can do it now."

I think that she is going to be kick out like see is going to get out of the boat the walk the plant off the boat because he had his hands on his hips. Or he is going to make her into a slave and work one the deck the whole time washing the floor on the boat and not have a bed to sleep in. Also is when he was shoveing everyone in the crode to see what is going on the deck.

I think that the captain wouldn't like it and will say she didn't have permission and thats why I thik that the crew did it before the captain came out so they could sneek her in as a sailer so he wouldn't be able to say no because she already did it and it would be biased if he didn't let her be a one.

I think that when the captain comes in front of her he will ask what's going on and chalotte will explain to him how she climbed the ratlines to the royal yard. After she explains to him, she will be able to be a deckhand ,but under the watch of the crew. She will still have to gain the respect of the captain by proving herself in other ways.

I think that the Captain will maybe be a little disappointed because he didn't know about what Charlotte had done. I think he would say something like, "What such thing were you doing?"I think it would be possible for him not to let Charlotte stay on the ship because in one of the pictures in the book it showed Captain Jaggery with his hands over his hips. Evcidence that supportes my prediction is the picture where it shows the crew backing off of charlotte and being quiet.#24

I think that the captain will send Charlotte down to her bunk. And the captain will talk to the first mate about it. I think the first mate will try to convince the captain that she is worthy enough. The first mate even said to Charlotte before she climbed, "I'll promise you that if you finish the climb, You will become a mate." That is why I think that the first mate will convince the captain.

I think that the captain will say that its only fair but some of the guys will say no because they think that there better but there not were all the same in different ways.

I think he is going to say "What were you thinking climbing up the rat lines you could of gotten killed you idiot if you want to risk your life why don't you jump overboard and see if we can catch you in time before you drown or the before the sharks get you!" I think he'll say something like that because of his body language.

I predict that he will be kind of upset because he dosent want a girl on board because he probaly thinks that guys are better then girls. Also I think that he will not give Charlotte a challanging job, probally like in the gulley (gully means where they eat all of there meals). I am just making an opinion, the captain will probally yell at Charlotte because he maybe wanted her to fail, but he didnt expect that she would make it. Also I think that she was glad that she didn't slip and fall in to the water or on to the boat. But if you have a diffrent idea this is just my opinion.

I predict that the captain will come up with some stupid excuse because he knows that she is a powerful woman and he probaly doesn't want to beilieve that a female could complete a task of such difficulty. He is also probaly going to deny her being a sailor. Quote from page 109; "Only then did I see Captain Jaggery push through the knot of men and come to stand before me." In the picture he has his hands on his hips which is the icing on the cake finishing the look of disaproval.

I predict that Captain Smith will be mad and frusterated because he does not want a girl on his ship. For example Captain Smith was not so happy when charlotte doyle came down from climding to the top of the royal yard. While all of the crew member were shouting hazhs.

I predict that the captain is going to be really upset that nobody told him anything about having a new crew member. Also, I predict that for Charlotte to get on the job she will have to prove that she can do it.By doing that the captain will set out far more challenging challenges, and see how quickly Charlotte does them, and then he might except her.

I predict that the captain will be furious that the first mate said that she could sign on if she climbs to the royal yard. I think this because he had his hands on his hips and was pushing through the sailors to stand in fornt of her while the other sailors were cheering. I think that he will talk to the crew and say that she can't sign on, but the first mate will say that he said that if she could climb to the royal yard she could sign on. I think that the captain will not like the idea of the and she will prove him wrong.

I think that the captain will be very upset that Charlotte Doyle is on the ship and will ask why she is on the ship. I know this because he had his hands on his hips. He looked very disapointed

i think that the Captian Jarggery wasn't very happy and she wanted to prove to herself that she could be on the ship.

I think that the captain is going to act happy on the outside and not having the happiest day on earth in the inside. Most likely man-captains do not want 13 year old girls on his ship crew.
My evidence is that supports my prediction that Captain Jaggery is not happy about this 13 year old girl named Charlotte Doyle is now on his crew is when he walks up all mad. I think faces tell everything.

I predict that the captain will get mad because he doesn't want to a girl on the ship. Also,he came out with his hands on his hips when he saw Charlotte come down the ratlines,so that isn't a good sign.
