The story, "Passage to Freedom" is mainly about a Japanese diplomat who lives in Lithuania who saves hundreds of lives by handing out visas and permission papers to refugees to save them from the Nazi Army. The diplomat's family is mad up up two kids, an aunt, and of course a mom and him. First, the man finds that there are many people outside his front door. After figuring out what the problem is, he sees that it is that these people are refugees, escaping the Nazis. Then, the man decides to ask his family if he should ask his government in Japan if he's allowed to issue many visas to the refugees. The goverment replys, "no." Since the man wants to help these people, he goes against his bosses. Soon after, he finds himself writing hundreds of visas all by himself, but also with the help of two men, who speak foriegn languages. To summairze this up, the Japanese diplomat wrote about 300 visas. He saved most of the refugees. Even though he disobeyed hid government, he saved refugees from the cruel Nazi Soldiers.

Mr.A,
passage to freedom is about a diplomat who asks his family if he should save all the poor refugees who have been running from the nazi army. The whole family agreed to think about the people outside before them selvs. So he stayed up from early in the morning to late at night writing hundreds of visas. But after that Sugrihare and his family haad to leave to Berlin and as the train road off sugrihare threw permission papers out the window. All the refugees shouted "We will never forget you!!!"
World War II,
World war II was a vilont time the bad guys where, Japan,Italy, and the Germen.
World War II was a global military conflict which involved a majority of the world's nations, including all of the great powers.Organized into two opposing military alliances. The war involved the mobilization of over 100 million military personnel, making it the most widespread war in history. Over 70 million people were killed.
In the late 1930's the Nazis killed thousands of handicapped Germans by lethal injection and poisonous gas. After the German invasion of the Soviet Union in June 1941, mobile killing units following in the wake of the German Army began shooting massive numbers of Jews and Gypsies in open fields and ravines on the outskirts of conquered cities and towns.
siguhara is a father of two boys and has a wife. siguhara is a japanese diplomat from lithuainia. he helped thousands of people live by wrighting visas to them so they could get to japan and run from the nazis.
Mr A
World War 2 was fought in Europe. The natzies were the enimies and hated the juish. The sugiharas saved most of the people with visas that people could use on the train to go somewhere else. I think the diplomats choise was right because if he didnt a lot of refuges would have been killed. Eventhough the Japanese goverment said no he did the right thing. He saved the people with permission papers or illegal visas. I think he made the right choise in passage to freedom.

The story "Passage to Freedom" is about a Japanese diplomat named Sugihara. He and his family helped make some difficult decisions like whether to help the Polish refugees that were running away from the Nazi army by giving them their visas and permission papers to leave the country or not. Sugihara saved hundreds of lives in WW2.
The story "Passage to Freedome" is about the Nazi army in WWII and all the refugees flee to Sugihara and his family. Then Sugihara had to make a decision wwhere he help the refugees or he doesn't. At the end his decision was to help the refugees. But the Nazi told his family to move. at the end he safed thousands of people.
Sugrihare was a chinese diplomat in Lithuania representing his country. He has to write thousands of visas to save the people from the Nazis and the Russian Army. He had to disobey the government, who did not want he to write the visa. But he thougth it was more important to save the people than to obey the government.
The story a, "Passage to Freedom" was about WWII. In the stoy a diplomat from Japan named Sugihara saved tousands of Jewish people from the Nazi army by disobaying his government and giving them visas to get to Jappan.
During WWII Sugihara had alot of pressure put on him by the people from town to write 200 visas. At the time Sugihara was puting his family in alot of danger to save his friends and family from the nazis. This sacrifice saved over 400 people.
My Fondest Memory of NHES
I have been going to Newport Heights since kindergarten. All of my teachers have made my 7 years here worth while. But now that I am graduating, and I look back on it all, my best memories of Newport Heights were in 3rd and 6th grade.
My teacher in 3rd grade was Mr. Richards, A.K.A Willy Wonka. On Halloween he dressed up as Willy Wonka! We kept on asking for candy the whole time before flag-deck, or at least that is what I remember. And when we were taking our spelling tests and stuff, he would give us nerds to have the brains of one. And after we read the book we got to watch the original movie because only in the original one Mr. Richards looks like the Willy Wonka. So we scored double, got a movie plus candy! So then at the end of the year in 3rd grade we got Popsicle sticks with our numbers on them - mine was 8 - so for the next year after the end of the school day we could get a piece of candy if we had them. And if we still did have them by the end of 6th grade we would get a big chocolate bar! I lost my stick 3 times! And on the 3rd it was just gone and I think someone might have thrown it away unfortunately.
Now in 6th grade, my teacher was Mr. Africano. And he really made my last year here like the grand finally! He made this program where all the 6th graders have elder pen pals and we get to meet them sometime in the year. It’s really exciting to get to know these people and get to learn about the things that they got to do and what it was like during their time. 6th grade camp was super fun! All of my cabin buddies were awesome. We got to meet the coolest people from the different school that came with us too. I met these girls named Gillian, Sofia, Ira, and Stacy! Gillian was a little on the quiet side but was super fun to hang out with. Stacy was an amazing artist! My friends Shantal and Maggie would sometimes tease me and say, “Ooooooooooh! She’s better than you Angel!”. And then there was Ira and Sofia, they were both Russian which we all thought was cool. Ira was super funny, she actually had a Russian accent but didn’t know any Russian, unlike Sofia who new how to speak it put didn’t have the accent. Finally our camp leader was named Nicky! She had the craziest bright blue eyes which were like neon colored! She was also very clumsy which, was a perfect match for me. When she was telling us something important she told us to put on our serious faces and then right when she was about to talk, my friend Sofia farted and we all started laughing super hard including Nicky and Sofia! Now the final memory was when Uma and Jashay came. After that, Maria, Maggie, Uma, Jashay, and I had a group. During class sometimes we would pass notes and we would use a sticky note or a ripped piece of paper and throw it onto each others desks! Uma would get mad at me because of how small and tiny I would write and put it in a ball. I know this might sound stupid but before Jashay came the other four of us went to downtown Disney and got Build-A-Bears and brought them to school like little girls. We all had clothes for them but I only had shoes because of my budget. But since I sew a lot, I had the most stuff by the end of the week!
So to sum it all up, my favorite memories were when my 3rd grade teacher dressed up as Willy Wonka and when I got to write to a pen pal as a 6th grade program and go to a camp with all of my school friends. So now that this year is about to end and I am going to become a junior higher I want to say thank you Dr. Suhr and have a good summer people!
