The main character in passage to freedom is a good man because he saved almost 9,000 lives. Also, He put him and his family’s life on the line. The Jewish refugees he wrote visas for would have been killed by the Nazi’s if he did not issue them visas. That is why he is a good man.

The main character in the story was a good man. He gave a little jewish kid money because he didnt have enough. The boy invited him to his home for a Hanakua celebration, and he went. He also wrote 9,000 visas to help jews to get away from nazi. So I think he is a great man!
The main character the Passage to Freedom is a good man becuase he risks his live to save others. Second, he gives money to a boy who needs a few more dollors to buy what he wants. Also, every time he writes a visa he says good luck to the person who recives it. Finally, he always takes the time to explain things to his son.

The main character in "Passage To Freedom"is a brave, smart and nice man because he disobayed his government to save about 10,000 jewish lives. Because of his actions they all lived and were allowed to leave the contry.
I think Mr. Sugihara is a good man because he gave money to a young boy at the store. He also made the decision to dosobey his government and save almost 9,000 lives.
Sugihara is a good man because he saved 300 lives a day for a month. he saved all those lives by writing visas. He had to make a hard decision to put his family in danger, because the nazi's could kill all of them or save alot of lives. He chosse to save all tose lives. Sugihara will always be rememberd for what he did.
