Combining Signs
There are three steps to adding and subtracting integers. Combining signs is the first step. Combining signs is important because it helps put the equation into sign-number sign-number. Say you have to solve the difference of -5 and -4, you combine the subtraction sign with the negative sign of the second number. A negative times a negative is a positive so now the equation is -5 – 4. When combining signs and following the steps you will most likely always get the answer right.
when adding and subtract integers the most important thing to do is combine the signs. Combining signs can completely change your answer for example if your doing a problem like 8-(-3)if you don't combine the signs you would end up with a wrong answer but if you do it correctly you would get the right answer and the problem would be 8-3 and the difference would be 5. if you didn't combine the signs the answer would be 11 do you see the difference (not the math term). It completely solves your problem and with out it all our answers would be wrong
When adding and subtracting integers you must first look at the multiplying and dividing patterns. Then, you have to combine the signs which is important because if you don't combine the signs you might get the wrong answer. After, you have combined the signs you have to rewrite your problem in sign number sign number order. Next, you have to find out if your problem is same sign sum or difference sign difference. Finely you must take the sign of the largest number and your problem is solved

The steps to adding and subtracting integers are quite simple. First, you must make sure that the problem is in S#S# form. For example, -3-3. Second, you have to combine the signs, a plus and a plus make a plus, a minus and a plus make a minus, a plus and a minus make a minus, and a minus and a minus make a minus. Now you must use SSS or DSD to get your answer. For example -3-3 becomes 3+3.
Once you get your sum or difference
you must use the sign from the largest number in the answer. So -3-3= -6.
Combining signs is important because combining signs is what lets you know if you need to add or subtract.

It is so important to combine the signs when adding and subtracting. When you combine the signs it makes the numbers is the order sign number sign number. When it is sign number order it is easier to solve. It is the thing I think is the most important because with out it you would get the answer wrong. For example -5+-7, the first thing you would have to do is combine the signs so a + and a - equal a - then the problem is -5-7 and the answer would be -12. Its is so important to combine the signs without combining the signs I would not have been able to solve the problem.

Combining the signs is important in integers problems because it makes the problem less cluttered and easier to understand. Just by adding integers you can turn a problem like -2+ (-4) into a much simpler problem, -2-4. It also makes getting the answer quicker, and easier to get right. That is why combining the signs in an integers problem is so important.
When adding and subtracting integers, the steps are very important. First, you have to combine the signs. Next, you have to determine if it is same sign sum or different sign difference. Finally, you must use the sign of the largest number. Combining the signs is super important because if you don't combine them, you will get the wrong answer.

It is very important to combine signs when adding and subtracting integers for the following reasons. I am going to use -9+(-5) as an example problem. We will have to combine the + and – signs which will be a negative. The reason we have to combine the signs is so that the format is S#S#. If you don’t have it in S#S# format, you won’t be able to do SSS or DSD because there are too many signs. For an example, in the problem -9+(-5), if you don’t combine the signs, what will you do for SSS or DSD since there are three signs. After you do the problem (without combining signs), you will get a completely wrong answer.
When adding and subtracting integers first you must combine the signs, combining the signs is so important because if you don’t you will probably get the answer wrong. You must also combine the signs and rewrite the problem so that its clear and you can understand it better.
